The competition, ‘Record your Marathon’, organized by Spanish Sports Journalists in Valencia, announces its winners
The Spanish Association of Sports Writers in Valencia (AEPD Valencia) today announced the winners of the inaugural edition of the writing competition, ‘Record your Marathon’. The competition was organized to help promote and increase participation in the run up to the Trinidad Alfonso Valencia Marathon 2015, organized by SD Correcaminos and the Valencia Government.
The article written by Vicente Gorgues, “My First Marathon”, was chosen as the winner of the competition. Second prize went to Miguel González whose piece was entitled, “From 2011 to 2015: My Marathon, My Story”.
The jury came together to make decision and select the winner at the end of January. The jury was composed of the beloved Valencian sports journalist Paco Lloret, The communication director of Trinidad Alfonso Foundation; Julián Lafuente, The president of the AEPD Valencia; Paco Nadal, alongside Juan Antonio Pardo and Álvaro Montañés, both longstanding members of the AEPD.
As stated in the announcement of the competition, the winners will be published on the AEPD website and the Valencia Marathon official website.
The winner will receive a check for 30€ for Intersport, and the second prize will receive a sports therapy recovery massage form You Clinics.
