Valencia Ciudad del Running Visits Mannheim for the first time

In the latest part of the international expansion of the Trinidad Alfonso Valencia Marathon and Half Marathon we visit the German city of Mannheim. Accompanying us, as always, is the Valencia Ciudad del Running team. This week Mannheim holds its annual marathon. You may not have heard of Mannheim before but rest assured without this industrial powerhouse your life would be very different! The first car and bicycle were produced here! Mannheim is in the south of Germany.

Mannheim is the latest addition to our international promotional tour. The Mannheim Marathon has over 11,000 runners and a large number of visitors to its runners’ fair, as was explained to us by the Mannheim Marathon organizers.

Our visit to Mannheim is part of a coordinated strategy to further enhance the international visibility of Valencia as a running destination. We have been blown away by the interest shown in Valencia by German runners. Our first stop in Berlin was so encouraging that we decided to add an extra stop this year and go the south of the country. As always at runners’ fairs our message is to tell runners about our fantastic race course; which is the fastest in Spain, the amazing weather we have for running all year round and of, course, the amazing support and entertainment that surrounds the race course and event in Valencia.
