FAQ Changing registered runner 21K

If you cannot run the Valencia Half Marathon Trinidad Alfonso Zurich, you can give your bib number to another person by changing the registered race bib holder.

Yes, if you can’t run and you know someone who wants to, you can make a name change.

*The name of the new runner must be provided by the person already registered for the race. The Organisers will not contact the new runner because we are not involved in the process of transferring the race bib to another person.

All you have to do is go to the “Manage your registration” section on our website, request a change of bib holder and follow the instructions.

REQUEST IT HERE

Once requested, you will receive an email in which you must confirm that you wish to change the name of the registered holder and when you confirm you will receive another email with a code that you must give to the person who wishes to register in your place.

*If you don’t receive the email within a few minutes, please check your junk mail folder.

To request the change you must identify yourself with your ID number, date of birth and the email address you used to register for the race.

You will then receive an email in which you must confirm that you wish to change the name of the registered holder and once you confirm you will receive another email with a code that you must give to the person who wishes to register in your place.

Yes, when the other person registers using the code, we will credit you the price you paid for your registration.

The new runner will be charged a 5 euro administration fee in addition to the cost of the race bib.

From October 2 to 20, any modification or change in registration or associated services will be considered late and will entail an associated cost of 25 euros for management fees and reprinting of the number and new chip. This amount will be deducted from the refund to the holder of the registration in the case of a name change or will be paid by the holder of the registration in any other change of box or data.

If you have purchased extra services with your registration, you will be reimbursed the cost of these services together with the race bib fee.

The charity donation will not be reimbursed.

The code will only be valid for a limited period of time which will be indicated in the same email you receive the code in. If it has not been used before this period expires, the code will no longer work and you will still be the registered race bib holder.

When registering with the code, the new runner will pay the bib price corresponding to that moment. The runner will also have to pay an additional 5 euro administration fee.

No, if someone offers you their race bib, you don’t have to go on a waiting list. You register directly.

When you register for the race you are automatically taking out an insurance policy that covers you for any incidents that may occur during the race. If you run with a race bib registered to someone else (without changing the name), you will not be covered by this insurance.

Paragraph 7 of the Regulation states:

7.2 For legal and sporting reasons, but above all for safety reasons, it will not be possible to transfer the race bib to another runner without following the process established for this purpose and without obtaining the Organiser’s approval. In the event that the Organisers become aware of this circumstance prior to the race taking place, the bib number that has been sold or transferred without authorisation will be disqualified and the runner will not be able to take part in the race. In addition, and given the risk taken by those who run with a bib without the organiser’s knowledge and the confusion produced in the rankings, the details of the person who receives, transfers or sells a bib will be recorded, and they will be prevented from registering for the following 4 years, and other marathon, half marathon and 10K organisers will be informed of this action. In the case of athletes who are members of the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation (RFEA) or the Valencian Community Athletics Federation, their conduct will also be reported so that, if appropriate, the corresponding measures can be taken.

7.3 The organisers reserve the right to prevent registration in the future and to inform other races of the fate of those athletes disqualified for not having completed the entire 21,097.5 kilometres of the course.
