The organisers reserve the right to designate further start times, inter alia, for safety, organisational and/or logistical reasons. NOTICE: Any runner arriving at km 10 after 11:00 a.m. on 26 October 2025 must, compulsorily, hand in their bib, leave the race and/or get into the sweeper car as they exceed the projection for the overall limit set by the organisers for completing the race (2 hours and 45 minutes).
Times and Boxes
Article 4: Time and start box
The only data the organisers will take into account when assigning the categories will be those provided by the runner themselves on their registration form.
To certify how fast you are, and to place you among runners of your level, we will verify the data collected on your registration. Some will be automatically verified by checking against results from previous editions of our races.
In other cases, we will ask you for additional information with a URL or link to an approved race in which you have participated with an equivalent time (previous ranking in 10K, 15K, half marathon or marathon in the last three years 2023-2024-2025). Notwithstanding the above, all runners who register with the aim of finishing the half marathon under 1h26:00 must provide proof of their previous best time in a marathon, half marathon, 15K or 10K in the last three years through the procedure set up on the registration website, or at the request of the organisers.
Article 5: Changing start box
The organisers will allow the start box for the 2025 edition to be changed free of charge in the self-management area, provided the change is made until 1 October 2025 (inclusive) and the link proving the improved time is accredited, through the registration website in the self-management section “Request a change of Box”.
From that time on, once the bibs have been printed, it will be possible to change the box by paying 25 euros to cover reprinting and management costs until 19 October 2025 (inclusive).
Each runner commits to accepting their starting box at the time of registration and accepts responsibility for providing proof of their personal best records. Therefore, the athlete accepts that the box or starting wave selected at the time of registration will be the one that corresponds to them. With the exceptions provided for in the preceding paragraphs.
Entries and Fees
Article 6: Registration
6.1 Maximum capacity and prices
There will be a maximum of 25,000 bibs available.
The prices and tranches* will be as follows:
Bib no. from 1 to 10,000: €40.
Bibs from 10,001 to 25,000: €75.
(*) This price does not include the Day Licence (3 euros mandatory) for runners who do not have a current national licence (RFEA), Valencian regional licence (FACV) or Runner Plus Card. The promotions offered by the race will be communicated to the interested parties and will not be cumulative.
Registration will be closed when the maximum quota of 25,000 registered runners has been reached, thus guaranteeing a sustainable increase in the number of runners, a quality experience for the runners and the best possible safety conditions.
The organisers will set up a waiting list through the official website to fill any vacancies that may arise due to runners dropping out, at a price of €80 per registration fee (plus €3 for the Day Licence).
6.2 Registration for persons with disabilities:
Any athlete with a disability that can be included in any of the four adapted categories will enjoy a discount on registration, taking into account the tranches and dates indicated above, provided they meet the Covid-19 prevention requirements described above, and if there are bibs available.
To compete in any of the four adapted categories (wheelchair, people with functional disabilities, people with sensory disabilities and people with intellectual disabilities), registration must be formalised with the FESA (Comunitat Valenciana Adapted Sports Federation), whose contact email address is 21k42@fesa.es, and telephone +34 96 346 57 26. The FESA contributes its criteria, knowledge and experience to ensure the correct grouping in the different categories.
Any athlete who, for whatever reason, does not register through the FESA, will not be classified in any of the four categories of athletes with disabilities, nor will they receive a discount.
Each blind or visually impaired (B2) athlete who requires one will have the right to be accompanied by a guide whose registration will be 100% free and will be made directly through the FESA. There can only be one guide for each athlete with visual impairment.
6.3 Registrations will be made through the website https://tickets.valenciaciudaddelrunning.com/ (As long as bibs are available).
The website https://tickets.valenciaciudaddelrunning.com/ managed by S.D. Correcaminos is the only official and authorised online distributor for registration in the race, so, under no circumstances is registration or the purchase of bibs through different platforms recommended.
The organisers are not responsible for the reliability, veracity and/or suitability of registrations made through third parties, nor do they assume any obligation regarding the availability of places, stock and/or price.
No guarantee is given regarding the recognition of any rights relating to the guarantee, withdrawal, exchange and/or any other rights recognised to the registered persons if the products are not the official ones or have not been obtained through S.D. Correcaminos and/or the website https://tickets.valenciaciudaddelrunning.com/.
The above is without prejudice to registrations made through official tour operators and included in travel packs, which in any case will redirect to the aforementioned website for the purpose of completing the registration directly on the authorised distribution platform.
6.4 Sub-elite bib status will apply to athletes who apply with times under 30:00 in a 10k or 10,000m race, 1h06:00 in a half marathon, or 2h20:00 in a marathon run in the last three years, and under 35:30, 1h17:30 or 2h45:00 (same conditions for women) and provided they have been achieved in events on the official World Athletics calendar on approved courses. Sub-elite bibs will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, and only until sold out, from 2 May 2025. There will be no personal food provision or payment of expenses or fees for sub-elite athletes. Elite bibs will not be contracted or given to athletes who have had serious doping sanctions from World Athletics, regardless of whether they have served their sanction.
Article 7: Change of owner
7.1 It will be possible to change the name or owner of the bib/chip through our registration platform in the self-management section “Request change of owner”.
It is the only method to make a change or transfer of legal ownership.
You can transfer your bib in the race to another runner legally through our platform. The new participant will formalize a new registration with his/her data thanks to the registration code (valid for a minimum of 1 day) that the first runner must provide him/her. The cost of the new registration will be the price of the section in force at the time of the change of holder. The refund of the original registration will be approved when the new registration is formalized.
Management costs for the change of holder of the registration:
- Until October 1, it will be 5 euros for “Management costs”.
- From October 2 to 16, 25€ for “Management costs” and reprinting of the bib and chip (provided that the Organization authorizes it due to capacity issues).
The organisers reserve the right to modify the way in which the change is made.
7.2 For legal and sporting reasons, but above all for safety reasons, it will not be possible to transfer the bib to another runner without following the process foreseen for this purpose and without obtaining the organiser’s agreement. In the event that the organisers become aware of this circumstance prior to the race, the bib that has been sold or transferred without authorisation will be disqualified, and the owner will not be open to participation in the race. In addition, given the risk run by those people who wear a bib without the knowledge of the organisers and the distortion produced in the rankings, the organisers may note down the details of any person who receives, gives or sells a bib, preventing their registration for the following 4 years, and, where appropriate, inform other marathon, half marathon and 10K organisations of their actions. In the case of athletes who are members of the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation (RFEA) and the Comunitat Valenciana Athletics Federation, their conduct will also be reported so that, if appropriate, the corresponding measures may be taken.
7.3 The organisers reserve the right to prevent the athlete’s registration in the future and to inform other races of the procedure taken for those athletes disqualified for not having completed the entire 21,097.5 metres of the course.
Article 8: Withdrawal due to injury and returns

Notices and other considerations
Article 14: Judges Committee
The race is controlled by the Judges Committee of the F.A.C.V.
There will be time controls along the route. Only those participants who run the race with the chip provided by the organisers, which is located on the back of the race bib, will appear in the ranking. Runners are obliged to check that their chip is working properly at the corresponding stand at the Runners’ Expo when they collect their bib.
Neither the organisers, nor the sponsors, nor the main partner will assume any responsibility in the event the chip malfunctions.
Article 15: Infractions and disqualifications
15.1 The bibs/chips issued by the organisers are personal and non-transferable, and must be placed on the chest without tampering or folding. The control chip is also personal and non-transferable. Failure to comply with this article will be grounds for disqualification.
The organisers will not admit runners who are not registered or who run without a bib or with a bib that is not an unofficial one for this edition of the race. The organisers will prevent them from accessing the race in defence of the rights of those who are registered in accordance with the regulations. [Elite or World Athletics Label athletes who register as amateur runners will also not be admitted. The participation of all elite or World Athletics Label category athletes will have to be expressly agreed to by the organisers.]
For the safety of the runners, unauthorised vehicles will not be allowed access. The race judges and the organisers reserve the right to disqualify any offender who, if any irregularity is detected in any runner: (i) does not wear a visible bib, tampers with it and/or transfers it to another runner, (ii) alters the data provided to the organisers or the referee with respect to what appears on their ID card or federation card, (iii) does not complete the entire course, shows poor physical condition, does not provide the organisers with the required documentation, fails to comply with any other rule contemplated by the FACV, RFEA and World Athletics Regulations.
It will be compulsory for federated members to compete in their corresponding club’s kit, and they may be penalised if they do not do so.
Disqualified runners will not be eligible for prizes or trophies.
15.2 Given the serious damage that this would be caused to the organisers and the other runners in the race, in the event of access to the race that infringes the established access conditions or of any irregularity being committed, the organisers reserve the right to take the appropriate measures, in accordance with applicable legislation. Accordingly, appropriate civil, criminal or administrative proceedings will be instituted to hold the offender liable.
The irregularities that will give rise to the initiation of such actions include (i) not being registered for the race and therefore not having a bib/chip to participate in the race; (ii) running with the bib/chip of a third party (without having made the change of ownership or carrying it concealed); (iii) running with a bib/chip that does not correspond to that of the race; (iv) running with a falsified bib/chip (photocopied document or one that imitates the bib). This list is given by way of example and is not exhaustive, and there may be other irregularities which may give rise to legal action on the part of the organisers.
Both those who commit such irregularities and those who assist in them being carried out will be identified as “offending runners“.
Those runners who are identified as “offending runners” by the Organisers on the day of the race will be removed, identified and expelled by the race security personnel, in the exercise of their powers, and identification data will be obtained from them; photographs, etc., which will be used for the purpose of taking the corresponding legal action.
In the event that the infringement becomes known after the event has taken place, appropriate action will be taken as soon as the infringement becomes known.
The “offending runners” will receive notifications and/or summonses for the proceedings in which their possible liabilities will be judged, so they can take part in said proceedings.
Article 16: Route
The route will be marked with a line and all the kilometres will also be marked in accordance with World Athletics standards.
Article 17: Medical services and refreshments
Medical services will be located along the route, as well as in the start and finish area.
There will be liquid refreshments at kilometres 5, 10, 15 and 19, approximately, as well as one final liquid and solid station at the finish line.
All registered runners are obliged to fill in details on the back of the bib including their name, surname, telephone number in case of emergency, whether they have any medical problem (allergy, special care, etc.) or are under any specific treatment, as well as their blood group.
Article 18: Anti-doping controls
As the event is included in the RFEA and World Athletics international calendar, there will be mandatory anti-doping controls.
Any runner who, having been nominated to pass said control, refuses to do so, will be automatically disqualified in all the categories and prizes to which they may be entitled. Athletes who pass this control and who are entitled to prize money will have to wait for the result of the control to receive their prize money.
Article 19: Authorised vehicles
The only vehicles authorised to follow the race will be those designated by the organisers. It is totally forbidden to follow the runners on motorcycle, bicycle, skates or any other wheeled vehicle. The local police and race judges will remove them from the course to avoid accidents.
Article 20: Complaints
Complaints must be made orally to the arbitrator, no later than 30 minutes after officially communicating the results. The decision of the arbitrator is not subject to appeal.
Article 21: Cancellation or suspension of the race for reasons beyond the controlof the race Organisers:
In the event that, for reasons beyond the organiser´s control, the race is suspended or the authorities do not authorise it for the date initially planned, the Organisers will notify the participants as far in advance as possible, indicating the new date of the event (which may be either in 2025 or 2026). Runners may opt for a refund if they do not wish to participate in the event on the new date. In this case, they will be informed how to proceed.
Health limitations
The event will comply with the health regulations in force in the Valencian
Community at the time it is to be held. The Organisers will communicate this to all
athletes, so that they can be aware of the new requirements and comply with them.
Under extraordinary circumstances, if the Organisers receive from the Health Authorities a communication prohibiting the race from being held with the initially planned number of participants, the Organisers will establish a draw to randomly select the participants until the new permitted number of participants is reached, giving the others the opportunity to recover 100% of their registration fee.
However, the Organisers reserve the right not to hold the event in the event that the number of participants allowed by the authorities is substantially reduced compared to that initially planned or if conditions are imposed that make it unfeasible to hold the event.
Disclaimer and data protection
Article 22:
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

The purpose of this transfer will be to negotiate with the insurance company for the compulsory accident and civil liability insurance, as well as for the management of the day licence and the popular ranking of road races. Likewise, the data will be transferred to the main collaborator, the Trinidad Alfonso Foundation (TAF), to facilitate efficient collaboration between the latter and the organiser. In any event, and as established by the Data Protection Act, the data subject may in the future exercise their rights of access, rectification, deletion, objection, limitation and portability by writing or sending an email to the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation. By registering, all participants declare that they are aware of and accept these Rules and the Disclaimer and Data Protection Policy. In case of doubt, the judgement of the organisers will prevail. Specifically, on their registration, the runners sign the following declaration:
“I am participating in the race on a completely voluntary basis and I consciously accept the difficulty of the race, taking into account its distance and technical difficulty, for which I declare that I have sufficient technical knowledge, experience and physical and psychological condition to cope with the characteristics of the race.
I declare that I am in optimum health to take part in the 34th Valencia Half Marathon Trinidad Alfonso Zurich, having the total certainty that I am physically and psychologically fit to do so and having passed the relevant medical check-ups, ruling out any illness, pathology, injury or any other health problem that might make my participation inadvisable. In the event of any change in my state of health at the time of the race, which would pose a risk to me or to the health of the other participants, I undertake not to take part in the race.
I also accept that I must comply with any requirements imposed by the Organisers in relation to health limitations.
During the competition, I will cooperate as far as possible with the organisers in order to avoid personal accidents and I will behave appropriately, without endangering my health or that of others. I also authorise the organisers to make use of photos, videos and any other audiovisual material in which I may appear for publicity purposes, and accept the publication of my name in the race ranking, in the media and/or on the Internet, without expecting any payment, compensation or retribution for this concept”.
Notice: The organisers recommend that runners undergo a medical check-up prior to the race, all participants accepting the risk derived from the sporting activity.
Article 23:
23.1 By registering for the Valencia Half Marathon Trinidad Alfonso Zurich, the participants give their consent that both the race organiser, S.D. Correcaminos, as well as its main partner, the Trinidad Alfonso Mocholí Foundation of the Comunitat Valenciana, as well as any other sponsor and/or contributor to the event, whether by themselves or through third party companies, may store, process and use their name, results, as well as their image collected during the event by means of photographs, videos, live tracking or estimation of position on the course during the event on the official app, or any other medium, and may process for exclusively sporting, promotional or commercial purposes their personal data, as well as their image during the event obtained by means of photographs, videos, etc. by means of any device (internet, advertising, etc.) and without any time limit.
23.2 The list of results will be published on the website.
23.3 The LiveTracking presented through the official race app can be viewed by any user who downloads the application for free, which is available on Google Play and the Apple Store. This option allows participants in the race to be tracked in real time by name or bib number. This is a functionality offered to runners so that family, friends and the general public can locate the runner on the course.
By default, the tracking is performed through the runner’s chip that connects with sensors that are distributed along the route. Between each sensor, the application takes the average speed of the runner to estimate their location, so the location may not be completely accurate during these periods. The app also offers the option of activating GPS tracking in case the race is run while carrying a mobile device. In this case, the tracking will be as accurate as the app allows. Neither the organisers, nor the sponsors, nor the main partner can be held responsible for the accuracy of any location involving the app.
Through the “LiveTracking Privacy Info” option on the app, a runner can configure this functionality, so that the visualisation can be (i) Public: any user can see where they are by entering their name or bib number; (ii) With a pin code, only users to whom the runner provides the pre-established pin can track them; (iii) Hidden: no one can track them.
Neither the organisers, nor the sponsors, nor the main partner can be held responsible for any possible errors in location involving the app.
