Trinidad Alfonso Foundation will be Valencia Marathon’s main sponsor until 2016

The Trinidad Alfonso Foundation has reached an agreement with the committee of the Valencia Marathon, formed by the Municipal Sports Foundation and the Correcaminos Sports Society, by which it will be the main sponsor and give its name to the marathon from 2014 until 2016.

With this agreement, the Foundation confirms its solid commitment to collaborate in the running events in Valencia that best represent the spirit of effort, endeavour and betterment. Among its priority goals is to join efforts with those events that inspire the noblest values of sports and, furthermore, to put Valencia on the international map of long distance races.

To date, the Foundation has collaborated with the Valencia Half Marathon, to which it also lends its name, as well as other races in the city of Valencia including the circuit of popular races and the night-time 15K race. In addition, it is also active in the rest of the provinces in the Valencian Community, collaborating with the Castellón Marathon in December, and the Santa Pola Half Marathon in 2014.

The 2013 edition of the Valencia Marathon, whose main sponsor since 2010 was Divina Pastora, recorded the fastest ever time for a marathon held in Spain.

A 10K race, which will now be called Trinidad Alfonso 10K Race, is held simulataneously with the marathon.
