Valencia Ciudad Del Running starts 2016 promotion at Santa Pola Half Marathon Runners Fair
The 2016 promotional tour for La Ciudad Del Running has started. The tour starts this year in the winter sun destination of Santa Pola; a coastal half marathon with great winter temperatures and a great view of the sea. This is the first stop of the promotional tour that will visit the great marathons of Europe but also local events such as Santa Pola.
The Santa Pola Half Marathon is one of the first large races of the year in Spain. The coastal town holds the biggest road race in Alicante and is famous for its picturesque course and warm welcome for runners. The race skirts the sea and the town buzzes for the weekend of the half marathon as many people from colder climes come for the race and a weekend winter sunshine break.
Valencia Ciudad Del Running will have a stand at the runners fair that will be visited by approximately 10,000 runners and their companions. At the stand, visitors will be able to get info about the two blockbuster Valencia races: marathon and half marathon, but also about the variety of races that happen in Valencia almost every weekend. The promotional team will be especially proud to show off their IAAF silver labels for both races and the RFEA prize for best organized race and best race in Spain.
Valencia is La Ciudad Del Running not only because of its races. At the stand, visitors can also get information about non-competitive running in the city. Valencia City is a great place to run as it is extremely flat and has great weather all year round. The addition of the dedicated 5K public running track through the city river park is an added bonus for runners of all levels. The Santa Pola Runners Fair is open on Fri from 17:00-20:30 and on Saturday from 10:00-20:30.
