The Valencia Half-Marathon has again been rated as Spain’s best 21-km trial.
1 April, 2019
Paco Borao, President of SD Correcaminos (running club), the entity organising the Valencia-Trinidad Alfonso EDP Marathon and Half-Marathon trials, received the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation (RFEA) prizes on the 16th of March for both events as the best races in Spain over their respective distances in 2018.
The RFEA award takes the previous season into account (in this case, 2018) in Valencia Ciudad del Running, which marked a new Men’s World Record by Kiptum (58:18). Nine other athletes ran the race in under an hour. This came in addition to the new Women’s World Record set the previous year by Joyciline Jepkosgei. Between them, they have made the Valencia-Trinidad Alfonso EDP Half-Marathon the world’s fastest 21-km race.
