Algunos consiguie- ron el pasaporte en nuestro Maratón. Otros destacaron en pruebas diferen- tes ofreciendo un gran nivel. More than 40 athletes who competed in Valencia were later able to compete in the Olympic Games. Some of them obtained their passports in our Marathon. Others stood out in different events offering a high level of performance. L a élite mundial del atletismo sabe que hay que aprovechar las oportunidades con cabeza y gastar las pocas balas que tienen en oportunidades clave. Es el caso de la clasificación para ir a unos Jue- gos Olímpicos. No es sencillo conse- guirla. Nada fácil. Por ello, los atletas deben elegir muy bien el lugar en el que buscan esa exigente marca que les abrirá las puertas del olimpo. Desde hace unos años, València es siempre uno de los epicentros mundiales que atrae a los atletas de diferentes distancias para buscar ese pasaporte a los Juegos Olímp- cos. El Maratón Valencia Trinidad Alfonso EDP ha desarrollado diferen- tes programas mediante los cuales, en los años previos a los juegos, los atletas se ven recompensados si consiguen aquí sus marcas. Este mimo y trato personalizado ha atraído a atletas de medio mundo que viajan miles de kilómetros sabiendo que en València tienen, por cuestiones deportivas y organi- zativas, una oportunidad de oro para conseguir el pasaporte más ansiado del atletismo.
