73 SD CORRECAMINOS � SD CORRECAMINOS • Han sido 40 años de kilómetros, carre- ras y aventuras. 40 años en los que un equipo de amigos y soñadores convirtió la idea de su fundador, Miguel Pellicer -imposible no acordarse de su mujer, Ángeles Carrascosa- en uno de los clubes con más galones, experiencia organi- zativa y reconocimientos de cuantos circulan por España. Nombres históricos en la gestación del club, y posteriormente en la organiza- ción del Maratón como Isidro Rey, Toni Lastra, Vicente Moreno, Vicente Plaza, Alfredo de Ibarra o Luis Navas, entre otros muchos socios que vinieron des- pués y realizaron tareas fabulosas, han permitido a Correcaminos llegar a esta etapa, segunda década del siglo XXI, en la que los 42,195 kilómetros de Valencia se han convertido en una de las carreras más importantes del mundo. Actualmente, decenas de socios están implicados en la consecución de los imponentes logros de Correcaminos. Tienen alrededor de 75.000 inscritos en sus carreras anuales. Tanto para las labores más pequeñas y detallistas, como para las decisiones más importantes para llevar adelante las grandes carreras, en Correcaminos se junta un equipo con amplia experiencia que va adoptando jóvenes con un renovado ímpetu y fuerza. A la hora de vestirse de corto, los colores aurinegros de su equipaje pueblan todo tipo de carreras a pie, pero también de triatlón o de la firme sección de orien- tación. En los últimos años, la escuela que alberga a los más jóvenes ha crecido y mejorado sus actividades de manera que la pervivencia y la enseñanza de lo que un día soñaron sus fundadores pueda tener un merecido relevo a favor del crecimiento y de, cada vez, recorrer más kilómetros juntos. • It has been 40 years of kilometres, races and adventures. 40 years in which a team of friends and dreamers turned the idea of its founder, Miguel Pellicer (impossible not to remember his wife, Ángeles Car- rascosa) into one of the clubs with the most awards, organisational experience and recognitions of all those in Spain. Historical runners in the genesis of the club, and later in the organisation of the Marathon, such as Isidro Rey, Toni Lastra, Vicente Moreno, Vicente Plaza, Alfredo de Ibarra or Luis Navas, among others who came later and excelled, have allowed Correcaminos to reach this point. On the second decade of the twenty-first century, in which the 42,195 kilometers of Valencia have become one of the most important race tracks in the world. Currently, dozens of partners are involved in achieving the impressive accomplish- ments of Correcaminos. These partners have around 75,000 registered runners in their annual races. Both for the smallest and most detailed tasks, and for the most important decisions needed to execute the big races, Correcaminos brings together a team with extensive experience that gathers young people with impressive impetus and strength. The team race colours of yellow and black dominate all types of races; foot, triathlon and also the company’s section of orien- tation for the up and coming racers.
